the SIMV supported the realization of the manual of poultry diseases

A completely revised and augmented edition of an avian pathology textbook originally published in 1992 is now available (Edition "Livestock and Backyard Animals Medical Pathology Chair" Maisons-Alfort). The main objective of this new edition is to provide a comprehensive update on practical information related to avian diseases to assist in the diagnosis of diseases affecting all species of domestic poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, quails, pheasants, partridges, pigeons, ratites). 

This new edition also focuses on the control of these diseases. Indeed, several chapters have nosis is largely based on post-mortem and histological examinations, special attention was given to include high quality images as well as illustrations for o total of 2700 figures. This book is simultaneously published in four different language editions (French, English, Chineses and Spanish). In lieu of a tedious bibliographical index, readers can find an elaborate differential diagnosis section in the form of tables referring back to a specific chapter for each disease. This manual is the culmination of a long and fruitful collaboration with authors from around the worl and whose diverse areas of expertise have contributed to the uniqueness of this publication.
